Meet Ginni
Star Barn B & B in the mountains of Western Maine – innkeeper and yoga instructor

Ginni plays two important parts on the adventure team in Maine—innkeeper and yoga instructor. As innkeeper, she and Patty plan the summer, fall and winter trips in Maine. After vigorous outdoor activity, she provides the nutritious, healthful food, cozy surroundings and “rustic luxury” of the Star Barn B & B and as yoga instructor, the stretching, meditative exercise balance of yoga. While guests practice yoga with Ginni, they also enjoy the studio’s wall of windows, framing the scenic panorama of mountains and forests in the distance.
Ginni Robie, Certified Yoga Instructor, teaches beginner and intermediate level classes to all ages and stages of life. Her classes focus on increasing flexibility, strength and balance though gentle stretching movements. Individual levels and needs are accommodated through modifications and the use of props, along with warmth, wisdom and a wee bit of wit!
Ginnie and her husband David, moved to Maine in 2003, transitioning from a busy, urban environment to work as a team, owning and managing the Star Barn Guest House, Start Barn B & B and Star Barn Yoga Studio.
They are avid outdoor enthusiasts and enjoy sharing the surrounding beauty with their guests: “It is with pleasure and humility we share our bounty and joy of the land with others.”
After renovating their 150-year-old farmhouse, they built the Star Barn on the same foot print as the original early 1800s barn they had hoped to restore, but Father Time and Mother Nature had taken their toll on the weary, but lovely old barn. They were, however, able to save beams and other architectural details and incorporate them into the new barn, creating a warm and welcome “home away from home” where guests can soak up the beauty and serenity of this rural, mountain landscape.
